MMDS DATA NETWORKS
EMCEE engineers pioneered the use of technology developed for cable television networks adapted to broadband RF networks using the MMDS spectrum. The CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System) with special wireless enhancements is deployed to bring low-cost cable modem technology to wireless operators providing only video services. Single cell and multi-cell point-to-multipoint systems can be engineered to provide high speed transfer for data services including internet access, wireless local area networking, Voice over IP (VoIP), Video over IP, and Video on Demand.
A typical installation will support thousands of high speed data network customers. Systems can also be configured to provide shared bandwidth and/or dedicated T-1 equivalent circuits. EMCEE has competitively priced and reliable equipment to support system implementations in the 700 MHz, MMDS, and 3.5 GHz bands.
Complete broadband RF data network system planning, design, and development is available from EMCEE's application engineering group. System designs can work in harmony with digital and analog video transmission networks. Contact EMCEE for details.
